Year 10 Curriculum
In Year 10 you will lay the groundwork for life after school. Here you can explore the subjects that interest you as you prepare for VCE, further study or vocational training. Through a range of subjects and opportunities, you will develop a strong grasp of the expectations of study, work and the world outside of school.
Students must complete one subject from each subject area:
- English
- English
- EAL
- Maths
- Maths General
- Maths Methods
- VCE Maths Methods Units 1 & 2 (available to eligible 9A students)
- Commerce
- Global Consumers and Citizens
- VCE Business Management Units 1 & 2*
- VCE Accounting Units 1 & 2*
- VCE Legal Studies Units 1 & 2*
- PE/Health
- Science
- Science
- VCE Biology Units 1 & 2* - Year 10 Science is also recommended
- Humanities
- History
- VCE History Units 1 & 2*
For students eligible to do a VCE subject, the VCE subject may take the place of the Year 10 core subject.
However, these students have the option of completing both a VCE and core subject if they wish.

Students will do four electives per year (two per semester - unless undertaking one VCE subject, students will then only choose two electives, one per semester). All electives must be chosen during the course selection period and are to be selected from the following;
